Gideon's 2nd Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Gideon's birthday last week. He was able to blow out his candles by himself. I made him a cake with a turtle on it because he really likes turtles.  Gideon (and the animals he got for his birthday) really like his cake!  He also like the digger and truck puzzle he received from Grandpa and Grandma.  And in the nice weather last week, Joash showed Gideon how to use his bubble mower. Gideon also got a new swimsuit and beach toys from Opa and Oma that we are saving for the beach this summer!

I really don't quite know what is going on, but so far, I like it. M: It is a big day! What has been new in you life? G: Well, I still love tractors and playing with them. I also really like all of my vehicles and my animals. They are fun to play with. And books are starting to become interesting. M: I am enjoying the fact that you sometimes want to read and look at books now. What things are you looking forward to this year? G: Now that it is not so cold, I love being outside. It is so fun to walk around, play in the sandbox and even bounce a bit on the trampoline. M: I am enjoying the warmer weather, too. How is eating a sleeping going? G: I do still like to eat, but sometimes I just don't want to eat everything you have given me, even if I like it the last time ...
