he Bible uses the word Christian to describe followers of Jesus a grand total of three times. But there's another identifier that fills the pages of the New Testament--a word we've mistakenly reserved for the halo-wearing elite, losing something profound in the process.
Saints.
Wrapped in this ancient word is a divine invitation to discover who God created you to be and awaken to the life you were meant to know. Using Scripture and stories from his own experience, Addison Bevere makes a compelling case that the life you desire is found in the mystery of this sacred identity.
I found this book by Addison Bevere thoughtful, challenging and timely. I heard Bevere interviewed on a few podcasts I listen too and I was really intrigued by what I heard and I was excited to read his book when I was given the chance. I appreciated his deep look at scripture, his personal stories and his candid reflection on his own life and growth. I liked that this is a book that I could share with my husband as it is a book not just for men, but for all followers of Christ. I was challenged to think about my own actions and how I label myself and others. I am encouraged and motivated by the challenge of this book and I think you will be too.
