March Books

Here are the books I read for March. It was a very diverse reading month for me, but so fun. Top three would be Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel, Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo, and I really enjoyed Lab Girl by Hope Jahren as well. It was a fun, informative non-fiction for something different.

Gideon - 23 Months

M(om): Gideon, how are you today?

G(ideon): I am great mom! I am feeling silly. Shall I do some silly things?

M: You have been doing lots of silly things lately, like making silly faces, sliding backwards and trying to spin around on your head.

G: I like to make you laugh, Mom.
M: And you do a good job of that Gideon. What else is new?

G: Well, I have lots more words and you are understanding what I want more often. Just the other day I said ,"Vrmm, boots, Giddy, go," and you knew I wanted to ride on the tractor with Dad.

M: It was a very nice first sentence you did there. What else are you enjoying?
G: I like to look at books and magazines, especially those with tractors and bales in them. I also really like playing with my tractors and bales and feeding some of my animals. And I like to drive around cars and trucks too. There are so many fun things to do!

M: There certainly are and I love seeing you explore new things every day. I love you, Gideon!

G: I love you too, Mo…

School Spirit Days

It is that time of year again for school spirit days. Mataya had crazy hair day on Tuesday. We went for the braided look.

Today was Flannel Friday at Joash's school. I really had to document this day because I convinced Joash to wear jeans to school!

February Books

It was another great month of reading. Though I will admit the Olympics took up some of my normal reading time. I love the Olympics and watching all the different athletes and sport. Even curling...Top three reads for the month would be Glass Houses by Louise Penny, Left Neglected  by Lisa Genova and What Alice Forgot  by Liane Moriarty.
